About India Bank Info

India Bank Info (www.indiabankinfo.com) is a free website that helps people in India find the IFSC code of a bank branch, check whether an IFSC code is valid, and browse banks by state, city and district.

Why we built it

An IFSC (Indian Financial System Code) is needed every time you send money by NEFT, RTGS or IMPS. Finding the right one usually means hunting through a bank’s website or a cheque book. We wanted one fast, uncluttered place where you pick a bank, state, city and branch and get the code, address and contact details straight away.

What you can do here

• Find IFSC Code: choose a bank, state, city, district and branch to see its IFSC code and details.
• Verify IFSC Code: enter an 11-character code to check its format and see which branch it belongs to.
• All Banks: browse every bank in our database and drill down to individual branches.

The site is available in English, Hindi, Telugu and Tamil.

Where the data comes from

Our records are compiled from publicly available banking data, including information published by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI). We clean and standardise it (for example, state names are spelled in many different ways in the raw data) and correct records when we find errors. Banks merge, close and rename branches, so some entries may be incomplete or out of date. Please read our Terms of Use and the data accuracy disclaimer in the footer of every page.

Independence

India Bank Info is an independent informational website. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by the Reserve Bank of India or by any bank listed on the site. Bank names are used only to identify the institutions whose branches are listed.

How the site is funded
